Artist Resources for Open Call 2025

Submission requirements for our Open Call are listed below.

All applications must include:

  • Artist Statement
  • Short Artist Bio
  • Clear, high quality images of the 5 works you are submitting
  • Details on the 5 artworks you are submitting, including: titles, materials, dimensions, year, and price.

Optional information to include:

  • Any additional information you would like to share about the 5 artworks you are submitting.
We have compiled a list of resources to help with the application process.

 

Short Artist Bio

Prompts: We’d love to know more about your journey to becoming an artist. Do you have art training or art education? Are you self taught? Where have you lived and worked, and where have you found your inspiration? Do you have any art-related exhibition or professional experience that you would like to share? The artist bio should be a brief history of your artistic journey, written in the third person.

Artist statement

Prompts: We’re looking for your distinct artistic voice. What inspires your artwork?What do you want viewers to take away from your pieces? What themes and ideas are you exploring? What materials or techniques do you use? Should be a general statement about what motivates you to create as an artist, written in first person.

High Quality Images

All images must be clear, high quality, with good lighting and no distracting backgrounds. Images must properly represent what the work looks like in person. The submission of your 5 artworks must also include the titlematerials, dimensions, year, and price of each piece.
