Cura Contemporary is thrilled to welcome five artists joining the gallery from our sister space, Colibri Gallery, which closed this past December. Together, these artists expand Cura’s program with a rich range of approaches to landscape, place, and the natural world, from plein air painting to contemporary interpretations of the American West.
The exhibition brings together the work of Don Weller, an award winning watercolorist focusing on the American West; Terri Ford, a world-renowned contemporary landscape pastelist; Jackie Battenfield, an artist and author recognized for her luminous botanical paintings on mylar; Cameron Bailey, an artist and printmaker specializing in water-based woodblock printmaking; and Thomas W. Schaller, an award-winning watercolorist, architect, and author based in New York City.
Together, these artists offer distinct yet complementary perspectives on landscape and observation, marking an exciting new chapter as their work becomes part of Cura Contemporary’s evolving collection of work.
